Meet your Friendly A&C Staff

Get to know the A&C Automotive family. These are the folks that work hard every day to ensure your vehicle is running top notch.

Alan Crim, Owner/Service Consultant

Alan opened the doors to A&C Automotive Services, Inc. in 2007. As Owner and Service Consultant, Alan is responsible for coordinating shop and service operations while maintaining processes that ensure final maintenance and repair qualities. He manages the continuing education schedules to maximize business efficiency. Alan also oversees vehicle pick-up and delivery, as well as drivability tests and diagnosis. He also takes on the task of on-board control module programming and testing and acts as fleet service liaison for businesses throughout the region.

Outside A&C, Alan is active in the community. He is the President of the Whatcom/Skagit chapter of the Automotive Service Association, a Board Member of the Mount Vernon Lions Club and Advisory Board Member for the Skagit Valley College Automotive Department.

When he’s not busy with A&C or community-related activities, Alan enjoys the company of family, friends and his dog. You’ll find him fishing, hiking and participating in outdoor sports.

Alan’s Education:

    • Wyoming Technical Institute Graduate (1994) Automotive Technology
    • ASE Master Automotive Technician, Level 1 (Advanced Engine Performance Specialist, Service Consultant, Air Conditioning Specialist)

In the goal of managing and training an outstanding group of associates, Alan attends up to 50 hours of management training every year. His technical and service consultant background also leads him to attend 20 to 30 hours of annual technical update classes.

Janice Whitney, Service Advisor

Janice is probably the first face you’ll see when you enter A&C. She is responsible for signing in clients upon arrival and forwarding their concerns or needs on to a technician for vehicle inspection. Following inspection, Janice advises the client on the needs of their vehicle. She also advises clients on upcoming factory scheduled maintenance. Janice is responsible for answering the phone, cashiering invoices and ordering shop supplies and parts for all repairs.

She is a member of the A&C Automotive summer softball team and enjoys camping and hanging out with friends and family; in general, the great outdoors. Each year Janice attends classes for ongoing education and industry knowledge, averaging 25-35 hours per year. She recently completed a business development class on Building a Strong Service Advisor.

    In addition to the continued training offered to our staff, A&C also takes pride in providing the most up-to-date dealer-level equipment and information to properly repair all vehicle lines our shop services.

    This equipment includes the Ford IDS, Land Rover Diagnostic System, Jaguar JDS, GM/SAAB/ISUZU Tech II Programmer, Hyundai/Kia HiScan and other cutting-edge testing and diagnostic equipment. This equipment allows our crew to quickly and efficiently test and repair your modern car, truck or fleet vehicle.
